"Silva”
LATIN FOR “FOREST”
We chose that word because we love the authentic aesthetics and complexities of the forest and we would love to transfer that nature into your lifestyle portraits. This idea paired with our desire to follow an aesthetic consisting of earth tones and vibrant hues are elements that will define Silva Stills in a recognizable way.

BEHIND SILVA STILLS
Brooke
PHOTOGRAPHER
Hello! I’m so glad you are here! My name is Brooke Forbus and I am the co-owner and lead photographer of Silva Stills. Photography has been a part of my life for about 10 years now. It started out as a hobby and then s-l-o-w-l-y progressed to a full time job. While I was a Special Education Teacher, I pursued photography as a side business and then realized that life is too short- why not take the leap of faith and completely go for this full time! So, I’ve been doing this full time and teaching part-time for a couple of years now! Whoo hoo!
Whatever the occasion, documenting the season you’re in brings me so much joy and is incredibly rewarding, and I guess deep down in me, I just love being an artist! I love every aspect of weddings and intimate portraits, from the gorgeous details to the raw emotions. I love making new connections with my adorable couples and empowering women to embrace the beauty they are today. Meeting you and getting to swap stories would give me life because Silva Stills is about way more than just pretty pictures.

Associate Photographer
I'm 24 years years old and my name is Nadia Noelle. I grew up in Bloomington IN, also home of IU and the Indiana university Hoosiers. I moved to Colorado 2.5 years ago with my boyfriend of almost 4 years. My dad passed away in 2021 and with our lease ending, me and my man decided it was the best time to leave and go explore a new state. Which lead us here to beautiful Colorado Springs.
I was always a kid who loved pictures and was in fact THAT kid who broke into abandon buildings in order to take photos in them.🫣 I think after loosing so much of my memory I grew extra attached to pictures because they were keepsakes of moments I had forgotten. Some of them brought back and sparked old memories, and others I still can't remember but will always have a photo to show that it happened.
It's for these reasons I have an extremely close attachment to photography and the act of providing memorable photos for other. I have a burning passion for documentary style photography right now and love capturing peoples most special and loved moments. I also love for fashion, lifestyle, and brand photography.
Im your go to girl if you have a creative idea your wanting help to dream up, have a special project to work on, or are just looking for something a bit more unique than just a photographer. I treat every session as it's own, and no two are ever the same.

Hi there, I'm Brooke's husband! I remember when I got my first camera while we were a bit new to dating each other and we took pictures of almost everything just to practice. (Most of it was of our dogs)
Not too long after that, we shot our first wedding. We had lots to learn and it was a bit intimidating, but it was phenomenal. Doing it together was even better. Since then, we have done countless wedding and family shoots together. It has really let me tap into my creative side, which has helped a great deal in my other interests, particularly writing and personal training. One day, I will finish that book.
I greatly enjoy coffee and excellent food while spending time with Brooke because good company makes the food taste better. As you get to know me, you will also get to know a lot of great puns and jokes. If you have a good one, you need to let me know!
I look forward to meeting you and helping to capture the memory of the moment so you can share it with those close to you!

WEDDING PLANNER
It all started when I got engaged July 29, 2018 on my grandparents’ sailboat in Massachusetts. As soon as we returned home, I started planning. (I don’t think our bags were even unpacked!)
Planning has always come easy to me. In high school and college, I juggled everything from early morning swim team practice to various jobs, a full load of classes, different organizations, and a social life.
When I became a paralegal in 2011, my organizational skills really refined.
Wedding planning came naturally to me, and I found myself very calm throughout the process. Organization and crossing items off my to-do list brings me tons of joy! Once I had my perfect day, I decided planning, consulting, and coordinating were all things I wanted to pursue!
I can’t wait to get to know you, understand your vision, and help you create an unforgettable day.
